The Grandfather, Business Owner, Outdoorsman, & Family Man.
Hunting, fishing, running his businesses, tending the garden, feeding fish by his pond, cooking steaks or burgers every Sunday afternoon for family during football season—these were just a few things my grandfather loved to do. Papa taught me the fundamentals of hard work, showing up every day, and how to work towards a life of freedom that exists outside of populated beltways. He ran successful small businesses, took care of his customers and family, and played hard in his free time. My grandfather embodies everything that SureThing Media is about—consistency, personability, and a will to get the work done—all traits he would still admire to this day.

The Giving Grandmother Who Cussed Like A Sailor.
My grandmother worked at a small farmers market in Fairchilds, TX years ago. When harvest seasons were slow and money was tight for farming families, she would literally give them meats, cheeses, and breads at no cost so they had food to put on their tables. For decades after, those same farmers she had helped years prior would haul over industrial bags full of fresh harvested sweet corn as a "Thank You" for us to shuck and freeze. They remembered the hand that helped lift them up off the ground. My Mema was one of the most caring people I've ever known. She was loved by many, disliked by none, and was known to occasionally dance on top of a saloon's pool table at the ripe age of 70. Her natural ability to give, help, and make people feel at home are core values that our customers can always expect when choosing us.

The Lovable A-Hole Who Changed Everything.
Joy, frustration, responsibility, routine—these are just a few words that sum up life as a successful business owner. They also sound a lot like the emotions and behaviors I've experienced and learned since saving that face from euthanasia. I don't think anybody really anticipates how a dog will change their lives. Looking back over the last 11 years, he's been there from the day we earned our very first client and even gave me the introduction to my now fiancé. For us, we like to think that our customers would want to work with someone who wants a life of freedom and helps change their lives for the better, just like our dog has done for us.
There's a disease going around called the L.A.Z.Y. disease. Get out there, work hard, and make sure you don't catch it.

And That's Why We're Here
Marketers have been telling the stories of businesses for years. It’s a concept as old as time. In 2019, I started my business to tell this story of those who have shown me what it means to persevere, dig deep, work hard, celebrate wins, learn to love, help where realistic, and be an intentional individual who does what he says. Because of these very people (and dog), we are unbelievably proud to be family-owned.
Staying small has given us the power and ability to ensure each customer's needs are met before the project begins and well after it ends.
